A few months ago, your Dayton Area League completed a planning and strategy process where we defined a lofty aspiration: The League of Women Voters of the Greater Dayton Area will energize and empower people to be active in the electoral process as the premier provider of voter information and resources.
We’re already making that aspiration a reality.
Throughout the summer, League members will be volunteering countless hours to educate the community about the upcoming special election. Defeating Issue 1 is imperative if we are to ensure Ohioans have the power to effect change.
And our work is going to be just as important in the upcoming months. Decisions about women’s health will be made in November and before we know it, we’ll be in primary season.
Your contribution to the League ensures that advocacy efforts, educational programming, getting out the vote in marginalized communities, and getting eligible voters registered to vote – including new citizens – continue.
The 2023 Leadership Circle campaign will take place July 1 to August 31. Individuals and businesses who donate $100 or more during that period will appear in the Voters Guide, and all donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
The League of Women Voters of the Greater Dayton Area is among the largest and most active Leagues in the state, and that’s because of the support it receives from its members and the community.
It is crucial that each of us take an active role in government. Please consider a gift today and help your League continue its work to encourage all citizens to participate in the political process.
