Education Fund

The Dayton Area League of Women Voters Education Fund supports our voter service and citizen education activities. It is a 501(c)(3), nonpartisan, non-profit, educational organization. Your gift to the DALWV Education Fund is fully tax-deductible where permitted by law. An easy way to contribute is through the Kroger Community Rewards program (Look for “League of Women Voters GDA Education Fund” and use organization ID 80841).

The Education Fund aims: to build citizen participation in the democratic process; to study key community issues at all government levels in an unbiased manner; and to seek positive solutions to public policy issues through education and conflict management.

Voter Service activities of the DALWV Education Fund include:

  • Candidate forums
  • Candidate Interviews on Cable TV, produced in collaboration with local cable stations
  • Publication of The Voter’s Guide
  • Directory of Public Officials, in print and online
  • Information about the use of the new voting machines in Montgomery and Greene counties.
  • Voter registration and absentee ballot information
  • Informational programs on local and national issues
