Who
is eligible to join?
The League of Women Voters is open to all citizens
(men and women) who are 18 or older.
Why should
I join?
You will gain knowledge and experience through
the study and discussion of timely and important
topics. Our projects are rewarding to you and give
valuable service to the community. There are many
opportunities to discover new interests, develop
new skills and learn about crucial issues in our
community. You will meet others who share your
interests, make professional contacts, build your
resume and develop lasting friendships. League
allows you to stay active and involved throughout
your life, into your retirement years and beyond. [Top]
How
much time does it take?
It's up to you! Many members choose to support
the League only with their annual dues. Your
membership alone gives us the political influence
needed to build a voice for citizens and a
force for change. We cover a broad spectrum
of issues and concerns; you may choose to become
involved in one or more of them by actively
participating in a group study, or listening
to a panel of experts at a meeting or just
reading about them in one of our publications. There
is also opportunity to participate in Voter Service
activities such as voter registration, moderating
candidate forums, publishing the Voters Guide or
participating in our many advocacy programs. [Top]
What
do I
get?
When you join, you automatically become a member
of:
- LWV of the Greater
Dayton Area, receiving the monthly VOTER, Directory
of Public Officials and
other local publications;
- LWV of Ohio; and
- LWV of the United
States, receiving the National Voter and other
national and state publications.
You will have
the knowledge that you are adding your voice to
a powerful force of members from all 50 states,
Washington DC and the Virgin Islands. [Top]

much does it
cost to join?

join?
It's easy!
- Contact the League
office at 937-228-4041 or league@lwvdayton.org
to
receive a prospective member packet with more
information.
- You can make membership
payments online, by using Paypal but
you will need to still mail in the registration
form.
- Print off the registration form by clicking
here,
fill in and mail this form along with a check
for $55 for a single membership or $82.50 for a
2-member household if you choose not to send
your membership fee via Paypal.. [Top]
